In Chinese medicine, the conveying-and-transforming fu: stomach, large intestine, small intestine, sanjiao and bladder. The Neijing groups these as engendered by heaven-qi, resembling heaven in draining rather than storing (名曰傳化之府); they receive the turbid qi of the five zang and transmit it onward without long retention.
