Ethereal soul

In Chinese medicine, the ethereal soul (hun): a yang aspect of the spirit. The Neijing states that what comes and goes with the spirit is the hun. Stored by the liver, it is associated with consciousness, dreaming, and the imaginative, outgoing aspects of mental life.
