In Chinese medicine, the thin, clear body fluids. The Neijing states that when the interstices open and sweat flows freely, this is jin. The lighter, more fluid part of the body fluids, jin moistens the skin, muscles and orifices; together with the thicker ye it constitutes the body fluids (jin-ye).
