In the Golden Cabinet (《金匮要略》) tradition, interior water (裏水) is a disease/condition described in the Essential Prescriptions (金匮要略, ch.14) — a water-qi (水气) category — named by yellowish swelling over the whole body and face, a deep pulse, and inhibited urination, said to give rise to water disease. A historical disease-category for reference, not a diagnostic or treatment guide.
