In Chinese medicine, the thick, viscous body fluids. The Neijing states that when food-qi is replete, the rich fluid pours into the joints and bones, lubricating flexion and extension and replenishing the brain marrow. The heavier part of the body fluids, ye together with the thinner jin constitutes the body fluids (jin-ye).
