7 herbs·from Shanghan Lun (Treatise on Cold Damage)

In the Shanghan Lun (《傷寒論》) tradition, this formula is described for a Taiyang wind-attack presentation with a floating, tight pulse: fever and aversion to cold, body pain, an absence of sweating, and restlessness with vexation. The classical text cautions against its use when the pulse is faint and weak with sweating and aversion to wind. A historical indication, not a modern diagnostic or treatment recommendation.
